At first, Baltimore was officially called the “Baltimore CFL Colts” and chose the colors of royal blue, silver, black and white. The owner was Jim Speros who had been an assistant coach with the Redskins and Bills. Speros was sued by the Indianapolis Colts because they still retained trademark rights to the moniker “Baltimore Colts.” A judge granted a preliminary junction preventing the team from using the name “Colts” as the name that was being used as it was found to violate the trademarks of the plaintiffs. Every sign, letter head, or advertising that was being used had to be covered up or changed. All appeals to grant the rights failed as well as negotiations with the Colts NFL club to use the moniker.

Wejo: So [the question became] do you want to win or not? Where as with running it’s so individual. I never thought I had to dope [when I competed in the early 2000s]. I was like ‘all these people are doping’, but they were so much better [than me], and not everyone [is doping] and I also I feel like we have [these Kenyans who are different]. I struggle to know what else I could possibly do to demonstrate that this was not malicious. That this was not me thinking I deserved more than everyone else. I’d like to close that chapter with something positive and just be Floyd Landis but maybe that’s never going to happen. Who knows.

As I recall, the City needed the land back because it was considered prime real estate. Oh, and there is one last question: Is New Haven the same City, and is Mayor Harp the same Mayor, and is the New Haven BOA the same BOA that perpetually bark at the Sate for more PILOT payments bc the City has too much non-taxable property? Ironic that it was the State of CT that ceded this prime real estate to the City for $1 so the City could grow it’s tax base. Now ain’t that the S&*T!

This follows a series of worrying reports about the 95-year-old Marvel Comics icon. Lee’s wife passed away last July, and his health has deteriorated since then. The LAPD investigated reports of elder abuse at his home, and last month, the Daily Beast published a story framing Lee as a possible victim of financial scams. There are allegations that someone wrote an unauthorized check for $300,000 from Lee’s business account, along with $1.4 million that the Daily Beast described as having “mysteriously disappeared in a complicated wire-transfer.”
