【Specification of Acid Yellow 2G】
Acid Yellow 2G is a light yellow powder dye, soluble in water. Its aqueous solution appears greenish-yellow. Acid Yellow 2G is slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone but insoluble in other organic solvents. In concentrated sulfuric acid, Acid Yellow 2G shows a greenish-yellow color, and there is no significant change upon dilution.It is red-yellow color in concentrated nitric acid. Acid Yellow 2G aqueous solution with hydrochloric acid is no change in color. Adding sodium hydroxide also has minimal effect on the color of the solution. During dyeing, when exposed to copper and iron ions, the color slightly red and dark.

【Application of Acid Yellow 2G 】
Acid Yellow 2G is mainly suitable for dyeing and printing wool and silk fabrics, and can be printed directly on wool and silk fabrics. Wool dyeing is carried out in a strong acid bath, preferably at high temperatures, which can help the dye to fully combine with the wool fiber, thus achieving a good coloring effect.
Silk dyeing, on the other hand, is done in formic acid or sulfuric acid baths, and it exhibits good even dyeing properties.It can also be used for nylon dyeing, where it shows good dye uptake in formic acid baths. It offers excellent light fastness for light and medium shades but may have reduced fastness for darker shades.Acid Yellow 2G also can be used for coloring leather, paper, and electrolytic aluminum.
